The Artist

Painting to Make
Humanity Happier

Wilson Ngoni is a self-taught artist from Botswana, widely regarded as one of the country's foremost painters. His work spans oil on canvas, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media — always centering on the human figure, faces, and the raw emotions that connect us all.

Inspired by the vast landscapes of the Okavango Delta and the vibrant culture of his homeland, Wilson's art reaches beyond aesthetics. Each brushstroke carries a desire to make art serve humanity, to address what the non-creative world grapples with, and to help people find meaning.

“I am trying to catch passing time on my canvas. The world cannot paint — that is why it is broke.”
